A better quote starts with a better project brief

You do not need every decision finalized before requesting a quote, but a few details make the recommendation much more useful.

Share the purpose

Explain whether the order is for employee uniforms, an event, school spirit wear, promotional merchandise, a client gift, a launch or an ongoing program.

Share product ideas

If you know the garment or product, include it. If not, describe the use case, preferred feel, budget range or examples you like.

Share approximate quantities and sizes

Quantity affects sourcing and decoration planning. A rough size breakdown is useful when apparel is involved, even if final sizes come later.

Send usable artwork or describe what exists

Attach the best logo or design files available and explain whether artwork is final, needs cleanup or is still conceptual.

Include decoration and placement ideas

Front, back, sleeve, hat front and chest placements can change how a project is produced. If you are unsure, ask for a recommendation.

Give the required in-hands date and destination

Production feasibility depends on product availability, approval timing, decoration, quantity and delivery requirements. Share the real date and where the order needs to go.

Say whether this will repeat

If the project will create future reorders, hiring kits or multiple-location needs, mention that early so the buying system can be planned correctly.
